The Pew Centre on Global Climate Change have released details from their on-going research which aims to identify the key attributes that separate the most energy efficient companies from the rest. The report also highlights six key points for running an energy efficient business.
The study involved leading companies over 14 months with the initial results revealing that companies are recognising that energy efficiency must be part of all future plans and advances.
Corporate energy efficiency can reduce costs, manage risks, help with environmental compliance, improve staff morale and provide opportunities for innovation and increased productivity. None of these benefits are revolutionary, they are now accepted by most business owners, yet moves to more energy efficiency is inconsistent across the business community; some lead but few follow.
